The issue that was highlighted in the present PIL was that the benefit of

the financial support, which was granted in favour of the muslim minorities in addition to the families belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and Backward Classes etc., under the schemes namely YSR Shaadi Thofa was no longer being made available to the muslim minority families.

Learned counsel for the respondents has placed before us a copy of the instructions along with copies of G.O.Rt.No.157, dated 12.07.2024 and G.O.Ms.No.57, dated 26.06.2024, which show that the benefits of the scheme which were otherwise available under YSR Kalyanamasthu and Shaadi Thofa were restored under the scheme 8Dulhan – Chandranna Pelli Kanuka9.

According to paragraph No.6 of the written instructions given by

the Commissioner, Minorities Welfare, it is stated that the said schemes are not made available to the brides belonging to the muslim minorities under aforementioned scheme is an assertion, which is not based on facts, and it is reiterated that the Government is committed to provide support to the minority communities as in the instant case and that the State funded welfare schemes are available for the muslim minorities as well, pending further review and modifications of the aforementioned schemes.

In that view of the matter, no further directions are required to be

issued, apart from holding that the eligible families under the aforementioned schemes be granted the benefit under the applicable schemes.

This petition is, accordingly, disposed of. No costs.

Consequently, connected miscellaneous applications, if any, shall stand

closed.
