High Court of Andhra Pradesh at Amaravati (Special Original Jurisdiction), 10.07.2025 (Dr Justice Venkata Jyothirmai Pratapa) - Writ Petition No. 3990/2019: K Ramachandra, Assistant Engineer (Mechanical) with APSRTC, had sought a writ of Mandamus declaring that the respondents' failure to consider him for promotion to the next higher post on par with his junior, on the pretext of review by the regular Selection Committee vide Proceedings No. Ea/785(2)/2016-PD dated 02.09.2016, was unjust, arbitrary and discriminatory contrary to the C.C and A Regulations, the Recruitment Regulations and Articles 14 and 21 of the Constitution, and consequential promotion to Assistant Mechanical Engineer/Assistant Works Manager or Stores Officer. At the hearing, learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner wished not to press the writ petition. Recording the submission, the Court dismissed the Writ Petition as not pressed, ordered that there shall be no order as to costs, and directed that pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, stand closed.
