Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying that in the circumstances stated in the affidavit filed therewith, the High Court may be pleased to issue an order, writ or direction, more particularly in the nature of Writ of Habeas Corpus, directing the Respondents 2 and 3 to produce Nagineni Harika, W/o. Nallanagula Avinash, D/o.Suri Babu, Aged about 26 years, R/o.6-3-1177/A/105, B.S. Maktha, Begumpet, Hyderabad-500016, Native of Mulpuru village, Amruthalur mandal, Bapatla District, from the illegal custody of 4^th respondent, before the Hon’ble Court and direct the 2^nd and 3^rd respondents to initiate action against 4^th respondent and her relatives, for the illegal detention of the detainee and pass such other order or orders as this Hon’ble Court may deem fit and proper in the facts and circumstances of the case.

The petitioner has filed the present Writ Petition contending that his wife has been taken away by his mother-in-law and is being illegally detained by his mother-in-law.

This Court, by an Order, dated 01.07.2025, had directed the presence of the detenue before this Court. The 3^rd respondent has today produced the detenue before us.

¶25

We have interacted with the detenue, in Chambers. In the course of our interaction, the detenue has stated that she wishes to go back to the house of her mother and does not wish to stay with the petitioner.

In the circumstances, this Writ Petition is closed, leaving it open to the petitioner to avail of his remedies, in accordance with law. No order as to costs.
