The instant Criminal Petition under Section 482 of Cr.P.C., has been filed by the Petitioner/Accused No.9, seeking quashment of the proceedings pending against him in Crime No.278 of 2020 on the file of Ongole Taluka Police Station, Prakasam District.

When the matter is taken up for hearing, Ms. K. Priyanka Lakshmi, learned Assistant Public Prosecutor would submit that the matter has become infructuous, since the charge sheet has already been filed in this matter.

Sri P.Narahari Babu, learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that recording the same, the petition may be disposed of giving liberty to challenge the same.

Recording the above said submissions, the Criminal Petition is dismissed since the relief has become infructuous. However, the petitioner is at liberty to file a fresh petition challenging the charge sheet, if so advised.

As a sequel thereto, miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed.
