This Criminal Petition is filed by the petitioner under Section 528 of Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, to direct the learned IV Additional District Judge, Ananthapuram, to expedite the adjournment from 02.06.2025 to an early date.

Heard Sri Dunga Ritesh Naidu, learned counsel for the petitioner.

Learned Additional Public Prosecutor representing the State on instructions would submit that only one accused is shown in the case and there are only 5 witnesses in the case.

Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the request of the petitioner is only to direct the learned Magistrate to expedite the trial and dispose of the case as expeditiously as possible.

Undisputedly, the case was filed in the year 2024 from the submissions of learned Additional Public Prosecutor, there are only 5 witnesses in this case, and in that view of the matter, this Court is of the considered opinion is that the criminal petition can

be disposed of at the stage of admission, without going into merits of the case, by directing the IV Additional District Judge,

Ananthapuram, to dispose of the case as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of two (02) months from the date of receipt copy of this order.
