O R D E R :

The instant criminal petition under Section 528 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 has been filed by the petitioner/Accused, seeking quashment of the proceedings against him Spl.SC.No.149 of 2023 on the file of IV Additional District and Sessions Judge – Cum – SC/ST Court, Guntur.

The petitioner is accused in Spl.SC.No.149 of 2023 on the file of IV Additional District and Sessions Judge – Cum – SC/ST Court, Guntur, the defacto-complainant had alleged that the petitioner had committed the alleged offences under the pretext of love and proposal to marry the defacto-complainant. As the promise of the petitioner to marry the defacto-complaiannt could not materialize and the petitioner was avoiding the defacto-complainant after exploiting her, she filed a complaint.

I.A.No.3 of 2025 is filed by petitioner/respondent No.2/defacto complainant, seeking to compromise the offences between the parties.

Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the defactocomplainant and the petitioner are present in Court and a joint

memo vide IA.No.4 of 2025 along with the affidavit of the defacto-complainant stating that the petitioner herein had married the defacto-complainant after the intervention of elders and that they are now living under one roof as husband and wife. It is also stated that the defacto-complainant is a pregnant and entering 8^th month of pregnancy. This Court after identifying the parties deems it appropriate to compound the offence as desired by the defacto-complainant in her own interest.

Accordingly, the IA.Nos.3 and 4 are allowed. Consequently, the criminal petition is allowed and the proceedings against petitioner/accused in Spl.SC.No.149 of 2023 on the file of IV Additional District and Sessions Judge – Cum – SC/ST Court, Guntur is hereby quashed.

Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall stands closed.
