This writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking the following relief:
“...to issue a Writ, Order or Direction, more particularly one in the nature of Writ of Mandamus declaring the action of the respondents in not considering the cases of the petitioners for appointment to the post of Multi-Purpose Health Assistant (Male) and appointing less meritorious candidates that that of the petitioners is wholly illegal, arbitrary, violative of Articles 14, 16 and 21 of the Constitution of India and consequently declare that the petitioners are entitled for appointment as Multi-Purpose Health Assistants (Male) and pass such other and further or orders as this Hon’ble Court deems fit and proper in the circumstances of the case. ””(in verbatim)
