Heard learned counsel for the petitioner, learned Government Pleader for Panchayat Raj for the respondent Nos.1, 3, 4 and 5 and learned Government Pleader for Food and Agriculture for the respondent Nos.6 and 7.

The present writ petition is filed seeking Writ of Mandamus declaring the action of the respondent Nos.4, 5, 6 and 7 in not releasing the final amount of Rs.47,65,685/- with 18% interest excluding EMD and GST., in spite of the work completed long back as illegal and arbitrary.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the work has been awarded to the petitioner after following due procedure only. Thereafter, he entered an agreement with the respondent authority and the entire work has been completed as per the terms of the agreement. But even after the completion of the work, no amount was released by the respondents. Hence, the present Writ Petition.

On the other hand, learned Government Pleader for Food and Agriculture submitted written instructions, which are duly certified by the Joint Director of Agriculture, Guntur, dated 15.07.2022. In view of the admission on the part of the respondents in respect of the amounts payable to the petitioner, this Court considered it is appropriate to direct the respondents to pay the amount as admitted within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. If the respondents fail to pay the amount within the stipulated time, the petitioner is entitled for interest @ 12% p.a. There shall be no order as to costs.

Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
