The 1st petitioner claims to be the son of one M.Reddappa, who is said to have been the owner of a house in an area called Madhavanagar on Tirumala Hill. The 2nd petitioner claims to be the owner of a house in Madhavanagar on Tirumala Hill. It is the case of these two petitioners that the Tirumala Tiruthpathi Devasthanam, while undertaking beautification of Tirumala Hill had taken over their houses with a promise of rehabilitation, by way of allotment of house site in Tirupathi and a shop on Tirumala Hill. The petitioners being aggrieved by the non implementation of such a promise, had given representation to the Tirumala Tirupathi Devasthanam. As this representation was not being considered, the petitioners approached this Court, by way of W.P.No.20135 of 2020, for a direction to the Tirumala Tirupathi Devasthanam to consider the representation. While the writ petition was pending, the representation of the petitioners was disposed of by the 2nd respondent, by an order dated 09.11.2020, rejecting the applications of the petitioners. In view of the said rejection, the W.P.No.20135 of 2020 was withdrawn with leave to challenge the proceedings dated 09.11.2020.
