Invoking the jurisdiction of this Court under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, in the nature of public interest litigation, the petitioner has sought for the following relief in this writ petition:

“….to pass an appropriate writ/order/direction/more particularly, one in the nature of Writ of Mandamus declaring the inaction of the respondents 1 to 5 in not removing the unauthorized Electrical Transformers erected in land covered with R.S.No.438 and 442 of Vallapalli Village, Balikurava Mandal, Prakasam Dt., in not considering the representation of the petitioner Dt. 23.07.2020 which is illegal, arbitrary and unjust and also violation A.P. Electricity Act and as well as violation of principles of natural justice as well as violation of fundamental rights of the Constitution of India and consequently, to direct the

respondents 1 to 5 to take appropriate and suitable legal action against the respondents 6 to 11 and to remove the unauthorized Electrical Transformers which were erected in the land covered with in R.S.Nos.438 and 442 of Vallapalli Village, Balikurava Mandal, Prakasam Dt., and pass such other order or orders…”

After hearing the learned counsel for the petitioner and in view of the aforesaid reliefs prayed for in this writ petition, we are of the considered opinion that it would suffice, in the interests of justice, to direct the competent authority to consider the representation, dated 23.07.2020, submitted by the petitioner, and pass appropriate orders, in accordance with law, within a period of two months from the date of communication of this order.

Subject to the above direction, the Writ Petition stands disposed of.

There shall be no order as to costs. As a sequel, all the pending miscellaneous applications shall stand closed.
