Heard Sri Balaji Medamalli, learned counsel for the petitioner, and the learned Government Pleader for Social Welfare, Sri T.N.M.Ranga Rao, appearing for the respondent Nos.1 to 3.

In the present Writ Petition, the grievance of the petitioner herein is the inaction on the part of the District Collector, Kurnool-second respondent herein in passing orders on the petitioner’s appeal, dated 27.05.2019, filed under Section 7 of the Andhra Pradesh (Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Backward Classes) Regulation of Issue of Community Certificates Act, 1993 (Act 16 of 1993). By way of the impugned endorsement, dated 09.05.2019, the request of the petitioner, for issuance of integrated caste certificate, was rejected by the third respondent herein. Aggrieved by the said endorsement, an appeal came to be filed under Section 7 of the Act.

This Court, on 02.07.2019, passed an interim order directing the District Collector, Kurnool-second respondent herein to consider the appeal, dated 27.05.2019, preferred by the petitioner herein against the rejection endorsement, dated 09.05.2019, in terms of G.O.Ms.No.58, dated 12.05.1997, after giving opportunity to the petitioner, as expeditiously as

possible, preferably within a period of one week from the date of receipt of a copy of the order.

Having heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and keeping in view the nature of controversy in the Writ Petition, Writ Petition is disposed of, directing the District Collector, Kurnool District-second respondent herein to dispose of the appeal, dated 27.05.2019, filed against the rejection endorsement, dated 09.05.2019, if not already disposed of, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of one month from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. There shall be no order as to costs.

Miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed.
