This Habeas Corpus petition is filed by the petitioner on the allegations that himself and Mekala Sasikala (Detenue) fell in love and got married on 19.02.2020 at Hanuman Temple, Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple, Yadagirigutta, Telangana and they had conjugal relationship till 26.02.2020 and the parents of the detenue did not consent for their love marriage and hence, a complaint was lodged by them before the 4th respondent as if the detenue was missing. On knowing it, the petitioner along with the detenue appeared at the office of the 3rd respondent/ Superintendent of Police, Kurnool, on 27.02.2020. The Circle Inspector informed about their arrival to the 5th respondent, who is the father of the detenue. Then, 5th respondent and other family members reached there and a counselling was conducted and during the counselling also, the detenue informed them that she fell in love with the petitioner and she wants to live with him. Then, the family members of the detenue left that place, however, after two days i.e., 29.02.2020, the 5th respondent and other family members threatened the petitioner and his family members and asked them to appear before the political leaders and owing to the pressure of the local political leaders, without the consent of the petitioner and his father, they took away the detenue on 29.02.2020. With these and other allegations, he filed Habeas Corpus petition.
