This writ petition has been filed challenging the recommendations made by the District Collector, Nellore, having consultation with the District Judge, Nellore, for appointment of Additional Public Prosecutors in the Court of I Additional District and Sessions Judge, Nellore, VI Additional District Judge, Nellore and also Government Pleaders of District Courts, Nellore.

In the writ petition, the District Judge, Nellore, has been joined as party by name. The recommendation has been sent by the District Collector, Nellore, who has not been joined as party by name, to hold enquiry against him. It is the allegation of the petitioner that names of advocates have been recommended during COVID-19 lock down when public courts were closed. We are not inclined to accept the same. It is to be noted that, from April 2020 itself, virtual courts have been going on and the same is being brought to the notice of the members of the Bar. Merely because the petitioner submitted representation, without

submitting his bio-data to the District Judge, is of no avail to him. Recommendation for the posts of Public Prosecutors and Government Pleaders is to be made to the Government, which has to make appointments to the said posts. In that view of the matter, on the issue of recommendation to the said posts, we are not inclined to entertain this petition in view of the fact that the petitioner has not come to the court with clean hands and bona fides.

Accordingly, the writ petition is dismissed. No order as to costs.

As a sequel, all the pending miscellaneous applications shall stand closed.
