The Writ Petition came to be filed seeking issuance of writ of Habeas Corpus directing respondents 1 to 3 herein to produce the detenu Ummadoju Triveni, daughter of Ummadoju Brahmachari – 4th respondent and declare her detention with the 4th respondent as illegal, improper and incorrect.
Pursuant to the notice issued, respondent No.3 produced the alleged detenu Ummadoju Triveni before this Court and when she was examined, she stated that initially she was in her senior paternal uncle’s house and thereafter she came to her parents’ house and therefrom, she was brought to this court. She, being major, expressed her willingness to stay at the place of her choice.
Having regard to the fact that alleged detenu is safe and is produced before this Court and since she being a major, no further orders are necessary in this Writ Petition.
Accordingly, the Writ Petition is closed. No order as to costs.
Consequently, miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed.
