A short counter affidavit filed today by Shri Vishesh Upadhyay, learned counsel appearing for the respondent no.4, is taken on record.

Learned counsel for the petitioners states that both the petitioners are major and they have solemnized their marriage on 27.02.2026 and they have applied online for registration of their marriage. They have apprehension of life threat from the respondent no.4 and an application to the police authority was moved by the petitioners for protection of their life and liberty.

On the other hand, learned counsel appearing for the respondent no.4 stated that the respondent no.4 had never extended any threat to the petitioners and he is ready to accept the aforesaid marriage dated 27.02.2026. It is also submitted that a false averment has been made in the writ petition.

In view of the above, both the petitioners as well as respondent no.4 are directed to appear before the respondent no.3-Station House Officer, Police Station Phulpur, District Prayagraj on 24.03.2026 at 11:00 AM. The Station House Officer, Police Station Phulpur, District Prayagraj will hear both the parties and will find out amicable settlement between the parties and will submit his report before this Court by 09.04.2026.
