Learned counsel for the petitioners states that both the petitioners are major and they have residing in a live-in-relationship and they have apprehension of life threat from the respondent no.4 to 6.

On the other hand, Shri Yogesh Kumar, learned Standing Counsel pointed out that the petitioner no.1 is aged about 37 years and petitioner no.2 is aged about 43 years and they have not stated in any paragraph of the writ petition regarding their marital status. It is further submitted that the petitioners were residing in a live-in-relationship without obtain divorce from their first marriage and this fact might be concealed in the present writ petition. He prays for and is granted two weeks time to obtain instructions in the matter.

Put up this case as fresh on 25.02.2026.

Till the next date of listing, respondent no.2-Superintendent of Police, District Pilibhit is directed to ensure that no harassment is caused to the petitioners at the behest of the respondents no.4 to 6 and his family members.
