It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioners that the petitioners are major. They are residing in a live-in relationship and intend to solemnize their marriage under the Special Marriage Act, but the authorities are not accepting their application. It is also submitted that the petitioners have apprehension of life threat from respondent no.5.

On the other hand, Sri Ashwani Kumar Tripathi, learned Additional Chief Standing Counsel, states that no such application was moved by the petitioners before respondent nos.2 and 4. It is further submitted that no such application has been appended along with the present writ petition.

Learned Additional Chief Standing Counsel prays for and is granted two weeks' time to enable him to obtain instructions in this matter.
