Heard learned counsel for the petitioners and learned Standing Counsel for the respondent-State.

The petitioners were initially appointed in the Indian Army and worked there, thereafter petitioners were appointed on the post of Constable in U.P. Police and worked even today on the aforesaid post.

The only prayer made by counsel for the petitioners is to direct the authorities to consider the service rendered by the petitioners in the Indian Army before they joined the service in U.P. Police pursuant to Paragraph410 of the U.P. Police Regulations.

It is argued by learned counsel for the petitioners that though in this regard time and again representations were made by the petitioners before the authorities and though a considerable time has lapsed but till date no decision has been taken in the matter hence present writ petition.

With the consent of learned counsel for the parties, the writ petition is being disposed of at the admission stage itself.

In the facts and circumstances, petitioners are permitted to submit separate fresh representation ventilating all their grievances before the respondent no.3-Deputy Inspector General of Police (Establishment) Uttar Pradesh Police Quarters, Lucknow along-with certified copy of this order within a period of three weeks from today. If such a representation is made, the respondent no.3 is directed to pass appropriate order in accordance with law
