Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing Counsel for the State.

Vide order dated 12.01.2026, a detailed order was passed by this Court directing the learned Standing Counsel to obtain instructions as to whether the petitioner has been posted in District Lucknow since 23.01.2022 and whether he has completed the requisite period of two years of posting in terms of paragraph 5 of the Circular dated 22.06.2017.

Learned Standing Counsel for the State has opposed the petition, however, he is unable to respond to the specific query made by this Court vide the aforesaid order.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that specific pleadings in this regard have been made in paragraph 4 of the writ petition, but no reply thereto has been filed by the respondents.

It appears that the order dated 12.01.2026 passed by this Court has not been complied with in its true spirit and has been taken casually by the respondents.

In view of the above, deponent of the counter affidavit-Ms. Shipra Panday, A.C.P. (Office), Police Commissionerate, Lucknow, shall appear in person before this Court along with the relevant records to assist the Court on the next date fixed.
