Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the corpus, Fiza, is a minor girl aged about 18 years and is in the illegal custody of private respondents nos. 4 to 7. It is further submitted that the petitioner, Shaboo, who is the mother of the corpus, lodged a complaint at Police Station Civil Lines, Budaun on 16.03.2026; however, till date, neither any FIR has been registered nor has the corpus been traced.

Learned counsel further submits that the police have, in fact, not taken any action against the private respondents.

The State-respondent is directed to submit its report regarding the action taken on the petitioner’s complaint, as well as the efforts made to trace the corpus.

The State is also directed to produce the corpus before this Court on 08.05.2026 along with a comprehensive report.
