Vakalatnama has been filed today by Shri Chandresh Yadav, Advocate on behalf of respondent nos.2 to 7, the same is taken on record.

Heard learned counsel for the appellants, learned A.G.A. for the State and perused the record.

Instant criminal appeal under Section 14-A(1) S.C./S.T. Act has been preferred against the order dated 23.03.2022 passed by learned Special Judge S.C./S.T. Act, Barabanki in Special Trial No.344 of 2022, arising out of Case Crime No.323 of 2021, under Sections 323, 504, 506, 325 IPC & Sections 3(1)(da), 3(1)(dha), 3(2)(va) S.C./S.T. Act, Police Station Tikait Nagar, District Barabanki.

Learned counsel for the appellant submitted that on the intervention of some respectable persons and well-wishers of the parties, they have entered into an out-of-court settlement of their dispute, which is in essence of private character. The offence is not of such a nature that it has a wide social impact. The offence is punishable by maximum term of seven years of imprisonment and fine. The parties are willing to get the proceedings of the trial court quashed in terms of the said compromise. The original compromise has been filed as Annexure No.4 to the affidavit filed in support of the memo of appeal.

In view of the above and keeping in view the various judgments of the Hon'ble Supreme Court in this regard, the parties are directed to appear before the trial court and submit the compromise before the said court on 17.04.2026. The court below, after recording its satisfaction about the genuineness of the compromise and the signatures of the affected persons thereon, may proceed to verify the same. In case of verification of the compromise, a certified copy of the verification order and the compromise shall be filed before this Court through supplementary affidavit for necessary action.

List on 01.05.2026, as fresh.

Till the next date of listing, no coercive process shall be adopted against the appellant.
