Heard Shri Vibhanshu Srivastava, learned counsel for the petitioner.

The instant application has been filed for the appointment of an arbitrator under Section 11(6) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996.

The agreement between the parties dated 07.02.2025 contains Clause 14, which provides for adjudication of disputes through arbitration. It has been submitted that the applicant issued an arbitration notice to respondent no.1 on 27.10.2025, nominating Justice K. S. Rakhra (Retd. Judge, Allahabad High Court) as the arbitrator. However, respondent no.1 has failed to furnish any response to the said notice.

Let notice be issued to respondent no.1 through the office of the Chief Standing Counsel, returnable at an early date.
