As per Mediation Centre Report dated 25.08.2025, mediation has failed between the parties.

1A. Heard learned counsel for the applicant and learned AGA for the State.

The applicant has approached this Court for getting a direction issued to the court of Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Court No.19, Sultanpur, to decide the Criminal Case No.3420 of 2023 (Dal Singh Singh Vs. Jayprakash Singh @ Monu), filed under Section 138 of Negotiable Instrument Act.

The aforesaid case of the applicant is pending since the year 2023. Learned counsel for the applicant submits that under Section 143(3) of the N.I. Act, it is provided that every trial under this Section shall be conducted as expeditiously as possible and an endeavour shall be made to conclude the trial within six months from the date of filing of the complaint. He has submitted that since long time, the case is pending without substantial progress.

In view of the aforesaid facts, the court concerned is directed to adhere to the provisions of Section 143(3) of the N.I. Act and accordingly
