Heard learned counsel for the petitioner.

In view of the proposed order, issuance of notice to the respondent is hereby dispensed with.

By means of the present petition filed under Article 227 of the Constitution of India, the petitioner seeks issuance of a direction to the Prescribed Authority Rent/Additional District Judge, Room No.6 Lucknow to decide the restoration application (Misc Civil Case No.264 of 2026) dated 17.03.2026 filed in appeal no.249 of 2024; (Meena Sonkar vs. Kiran Kumar Lal) within a stipulated period.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that there is urgency in the matter for the reason that eviction order has been passed. He further submits that the parties have appeared in the appeal, however the appeal was dismissed in default. He, therefore, prays that a direction be issued to the court concerned to decide the restoration application expeditiously in accordance with law.

In view of the aforesaid, the Prescribed Authority Rent/Additional District Judge, Room No.6 Lucknow is directed to decide the restoration application (Misc Civil Case No.264 of 2026) dated 17.03.2026 within a period of two months from the date of production of a certified copy of this order, in accordance with law, after affording an opportunity of hearing to the parties concerned,
