Heard Sri Vinod Kumar Singh, learned counsel for the petitioner and Sri Pradeep Singh, learned Standing Counsel for the State respondents.

By means of this petition under Article 226 of the Constitution, the petitioner has prayed for following relief no. (i) as substantial relief:

"(i) issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding the respondent no. 4 Executive Engineer, Provincial Division (Prantiya Khand), Public Works Department, Ghazipur to release the admitted/undisputed final bill and retention money/security deposit amount of Rs. 1,50,96,887.86 against the work done by the petitioners under Agreement/Contract Bond No.39/S.E.V.O./2016-17."

It is contended on behalf of the petitioner that in the above regard, petitioner has already approached the competent authority by making a representation on 07.11.2025 which has remained undisposed of till date.

Sri Pradeep Singh, learned Standing Counsel for the State respondents submits that respondent no.2 is the competent authority in the matter.

In view of the above, we dispose of this writ petition with a direction to the respondent no. 2 to consider the claim of the petitioner set-up in the representation dated 07.11.2025 and take a final decision in the matter and decide the petitioner's aforesaid claim as expeditiously as possible
