Heard learned counsel for the petitioners and learned Additional Chief Standing Counsel for the State-respondents.

By means of the present writ petition, the petitioners have prayed for a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents not to interfere in their peaceful marital life and also for a direction to provide protection..

It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioners that petitioner no. 2 is aged about 28 years and his matriculation certificate has been appended at page no. 15 of the writ petition. It is further submitted that petitioner no. 1 is also a major girl and her date of birth is 14.12.2002, but she has no educational or other documents in support of her date of birth. It is further submitted that petitioner no. 1 is ready to undergo for ossification test for determination of her age. It is further submitted that marriage of the petitioners has been solemnized on 23.9.2025. It is also stated that petitioner no. 1 has conceived pregnancy.

On the other hand, learned Additional Chief Standing Counsel opposed the prayer.

Put up this case on 19.01.2026, as fresh.
