Heard Shri Kripesh Mishra, Learned counsel for the petitioners and Shri Ashwani Kumar Tripathi, Learned Additional Chief Standing Counsel for the State of U.P.

Learned counsel for the petitioners states that the petitioners are major and out of their own freewill and choice, they have decided to marry out of love and affection. However, as the marriage of the petitioners was without the consent of the respondent no.3, the respondent no.3 has pressurized the respondent No.2 into interfering with the married life of the petitioners. Learned counsel for the petitioners further states that the petitioners were married on 12.11.2025 and since their marriage, they are being threatened by the respondent No.2 and their liberty is being curtailed.

The Additional Chief Standing Counsel, on the other hand, contends that the marriage registration has not yet taken place and only online application for registration has been made. He further states that there appears to be some change in the Aadhaar Card of the petitioner No.1 on 12.11.2025, which is the date of solemnization of the marriage. The age of the petitioner No.1 is required to be verified before any final orders are passed on this writ petition.
