Heard learned counsel for the petitioners as well as learned Standing Counsel for the State.

On instructions, learned Standing Counsel states that there is no life threat to the petitioners as they are living peacefully as married couple. Learned Standing Counsel further states that no joint affidavit has been submitted by the petitioners.

At this stage, learned counsel for the petitioners states that he does not want to press the petition and the same may be dismissed with liberty to the petitioners to file better petition, if so required.

The present petition is accordingly dismissed with the aforesaid liberty.

¶14

However, in case if the petitioners feel that there is life threat to them, they may file fresh petition at the appropriate stage.
