Heard Sri Brijesh Kumar Yadava, learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing Counsel for the respondent nos.1 and 2.

The present writ petition has been filed challenging the order of the respondent no.2 dated 30.4.2025 passed in PWA Case No. 8 of 2021 under the Payment of Wages Act, 1936.

It is contended by learned counsel for the petitioner that the respondent nos.3 to 11 had filed an application under Section 16 read with Section 15 of the Payment of Wages Act, 1936 claiming illegal deduction of their wages.

It has been informed by learned Standing Counsel that the order passed by the respondent no.2 under Section 15 of the Act of 1936 is appealable under Section 17 of the Act of 1936 before the District Court concerned.

In view of the aforesaid facts, the present writ petition is disposed of with liberty to avail alternative remedy of filing appeal under the provision of Section 17 of the Act of 1936.
