Heard learned counsel for the petitioners and Shri Suresh Chandra Pandey, learned counsel for the respondent no.3.

This writ petition has been filed by the petitioners with the following main prayers :

"(1) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of certiorari, quashing :

(a) The impugned communication dated 23.10.2025 issued by the Centralised Receipt and Processing Centre (CRPC), Reserve Bank of India, whereby the petitioners' complaint was closed under Clause 10(1)(c) of the Integrated Oath Commissione) Ombudsman Scheme, 2021 as contained in Annexure No-18 to writ petition.

(b) The impugned order dated 12.11.2025 passed under Clause 16(2)(a) of the Integrated Ombudsman Scheme, 2021,closing the petitioners' complaint as 'no deficiency in service, being arbitrary. unreasoned, and violative of the Reserve Bank Integrated Ombudsman Scheme, 2021, as well as the principles of natural justice as contained in Annexure No.22 to the writ petition.

(2). Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of Mandamus commanding Respondent No. 3 (State Bank of India) and Respondent No. 5 (TransUnion CIBIL Ltd.) to:

(a) Rectify the petitioners' credit information and update the loan account status as "Closed" (and not "Written Off / Settled"), in compliance with Sections 17, 18, 20 & 21 of the Credit Information Companies (Regulation) Act, 2005; and

(b) Remove all adverse remarks, including "settled/written off," from the petitioners'

credit records.

(3). Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of Mandamus declaring the demand letter dated 26.08.2025 issued by Respondent No. 3 demanding ₹9,07,320/ for CIBIL rectification as illegal, arbitrary, coercive, and ultra vires the provisions of the RBI Act, 1934, the Banking Regulation Act, 1949, and the RBI Fair Practices Code.

(4). Issue a writ, order or direction commanding Respondent No. 1 (RBI) to exercise its supervisory powers under Section 35A of the Banking Regulation Act, 1949 and Section 45L of the RBI Act, 1934, and take appropriate regulatory action against Respondent No. 3 and Respondent No. 4 for breach of statutory and regulatory obligations.

(5). Issue a writ, order or direction directing the Respondents to consider afresh the petitioners' grievance regarding wrongful reporting, in accordance with law, after giving the petitioners due opportunity of hearing, and pass a reasoned and speaking order within a time-bound period to be fixed by this Hon'ble Court.

(6) This Hon'ble Court may kindly direct Respondent No.4 (SBI General Insurance Co. Ltd.) to consider, process and decide the petitioners' pending insurance claim arising out of the theft of the insured vehicle, strictly in accordance with law and within a time bound manner."

Issue notices to the respondent nos.1,4 and 5.

The petitioners shall take steps within a week.
