Heard learned counsel for the petitioners and Dr. Krishna Singh, learned standing counsel for the State-respondents.

By means of the instant petition, the petitioners assail the order dated 31.07.2024 passed by the Deputy Director of Consolidation, Lucknow, whereby the revision preferred by the petitioners was dismissed, as a consequence, the order of remand passed by the Settlement Officer of Consolidation, Lucknow vide order dated 05.02.2018 was affirmed.

Dr. Krishna Singh, learned standing counsel has informed the Court that in pursuance of the remand order dated 05.02.2018 passed by the Settlement Officer of Consolidation, Lucknow, the proceedings have been dismissed by the Consolidation Officer by means of the order dated 23.01.2025 and as such nothing survives in the instant petition.

A copy of the order dated 23.01.2025 has been provided to the Court for perusal and the same is taken on record.

Learned counsel for the petitioners does not dispute the fact that the Consolidation Officer has already dismissed the proceedings on 23.01.2025.

In view of the aforesaid, once the orders impugned have already given effect too and in furtherance thereof, the Consolidation Officer has dismissed the proceedings. Accordingly, nothing survives in the instant petition which is accordingly dismissed leaving it open for the petitioners that in case if the petitioners have any grievance, they always have a right to challenge the order passed by the Consolidation Officer in a separate proceedings as provided to them in law.

In light of the aforesaid, the petition is sans of merits and is accordingly dismissed .
