Heard learned counsel for petitioners and learned Standing Counsel.

By means of this writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution petitioners have prayed for following reliefs:

"i. Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding Respondent No. 2 to disclose the individual marks obtained by the petitioners in the written examination conducted under the U.P. Police Constable Recruitment 2023, along with their normalized scores and detailed merit status;

ii. Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the Respondents to furnish the detailed category-wise cut off marks, the method of normalization used in the multi-shift examination, and the reasons for disqualification of the petitioners from the final merit list declared on 13.03.2025;

iii. Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the Respondents to reevaluate the petitioner's answer sheet and/ or conduct a fair review of petitioner's performance in the written examination, in accordance with law and recruitment rules."

Learned Standing Counsel submitted that petitioners may be directed to make representation before the concerned competent authority regarding individual grievance separately and if they do so, competent authority may further be directed to dispose of the same in accordance with law.

In view of the above, this petition stands disposed of with the direction to the petitioners to move their individual representations before the competent authority ventilating their grievances, and in the event such representations are moved within a period of four weeks from today, the competent authority is directed to consider and decide the same strictly in accordance with law within a further period of four weeks.
