Heard Sri M.P. Raju, learned counsel for petitioner as well as learned Standing Counsel for the State.

By means of present writ petition the petitioner has prayed for a direction to State respondents to send back the petitioner form Intelligence Department to Civil Police (District Police) in light of Government Order dated 19.06.2019 and further for taking decision on the representation of the petitioner dated 01.02.2025 (Annexure No. 3) expeditiously.

Learned counsel for petitioner has submitted that in the Government Order dated 19.06.2019, Para 9, it is provided that the police personnel who have completed five years of service, may be send back in their parent department and in case they want to remain posted in Intelligence Department, their option may be invited and in case they have given their option then they can continue in Intelligence Department otherwise they have been send in their parent department.

In this regard, it has been submitted that petitioner has given a representation dated 14.02.2025 which is pending consideration and has not been decided so far.

Learned Standing Counsel does not object if a direction is issued to respondents for expeditious disposal of the representation preferred by the petitioner.

Accordingly, without entering into the merits of the case, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent No. 2 to decide the representation of the petitioner dated 14.02.2025 (Annexure No. 3) expeditiously, say, within a period of six weeks by speaking and reasoned order in accordance with law from the date a copy of this order is produced before him and communicate the decision to the petitioner.
