Heard learned counsel for the petitioner, Mr. M.M. Sahai, learned counsel for respondent nos.2 to 5 and learned Standing Counsel for the Staterespondents.

The writ petition has been filed with the following prayers:-

"(i) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding the respondent-authorities to conclude the inquiry against the petitioner expeditiously.

(ii) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding the respondent-authorities to permit the petitioner to discharge his duty as Centre Incharge in Gorakhpur Depot in pursuance of promotional order dated 12.03.2025, during the pendency of the departmental inquiry."

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that a direction may be issued to the respondent authorities to conclude the pending inquiry against the petitioner.

On the aforesaid, learned counsel for respondent nos.2 to 5 submits that charge sheet has already been served upon the petitioner to which he has not submitted a reply till date.
