Shri Adarsh Bhushan, learned counsel for the respondent Nos.2 to 4 submits that the charge-sheet has been drawn up and served upon the petitioner. The enquiry is on foot. The charges enumerated in the chargesheet discloses major acts of misconduct including demands of illegal gratification and assaulting superior officers.
No cause for interference in the impugned suspension order dated 23.12.2024 is made out.
Faced with this, Shri Brijesh Kumar Pandey, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner does not press the reliefs sought in the writ petition. He recasts the reliefs. Learned counsel for the petitioner further submits that the petitioner will cooperate in the enquiry proceedings and establish his innocence.
The only prayer made by the learned counsel for the petitioner is that the enquiry may be concluded within a stipulated period of time.
Shri Adarsh Bhushan, learned counsel for the respondent Nos.2 to 4 contends that the endeavour of
the authorities is to conclude the inquiry proceedings in an expeditious time frame.
In this wake, interest of justice will be served by issuing the following direction upon the respondent-authority:
I. The respondents-authorities shall conclude the inquiry proceedings within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order.
The petitioner is directed to cooperate in the enquiry proceeding. In case the petitioner does not cooperate in the enquiry proceedings, the enquiry officer shall record a finding to this effect and proceed as per law.
With the aforesaid directions, the writ petition is finally disposed of.
