Single-member writ decision (WRIT - A No. - 14573 of 2025) of the High Court of Judicature at Allahabad, Lucknow (Court No. 18), Hon'ble Shree Prakash Singh, J., dated December 17, 2025. Petitioner Javahar Lal Chaturvedi had sought a writ of mandamus commanding Opposite Party No. 2 to make payment of arrears of salary for 01.07.2010 to 28.02.2015 alongwith interest @ 18% per annum. After arguments at length, learned counsel for the petitioner requested liberty to file a fresh representation, to which respondents' counsel raised no objection. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner, Mr. Ran Vijay Singh, learned counsel for the respondent nos.1 to 4,and perused the material on record.

Notice to the respondent nos.5 & 6 is dispensed with as the writ petition is being decided at the admission stage itself.

Instant petition has been filed seeking following reliefs:-

"i) issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding the Opposite Party No. 2 to make payment of arrears of salary to the petitioner for the period starting from 01.07.2010 to 28.02.2015 forthwith alongwith interest @ 18% per annum."

Learned counsel for the petitioner, after argument at length, submits that the interest of justice would be sub-served if this Hon'ble Court is pleased to give liberty to the petitioner to move fresh representation before the respondent no.2 within fifteen days and direct the respondent no.2 to consider and decide the same in accordance with law, within stipulated period of time as may be fixed by this Court.
