1. Heard learned counsel for petitioner and learned
State counsel for opposite parties.

2. The present petition has been filed seeking a
direction to opposite parties for grant of family
pension in view of the fact that petitioner's
husband late Bihari has passed away on 25.01.2025.

3. Mr. Uttam Kumar, learned State counsel has been
provided written instruction and submits on that
basis that since petitioner's name was not
indicated as a nominee in the pension papers of
late Bihari, the matter is being examined by
opposite party no.4 to ascertain whether petitioner
in fact is the widow of late Bihari or not.

4. In view of such submission made, opposite
parties are directed to take a decision with regard
to grievance of petitioner expeditiously within a
period of eight weeks from the date a certified
copy of this order is submitted before the
concerned authority. Grant of such family pension
along with arrears shall be considered in case
petitioner able to establish that she is legally

5. With the aforesaid directions, the writ petition
stands disposed of.
