Pursuant to the order passed by the Court on 25.09.2025, instructions have been produced inter alia indicating that respondents are not raising construction of shops, in fact, platforms have been created for the purpose of settling the street vendors.

The plea sought to be raised is contrary to the pictures produced by the petitioners. Further, the very fact that the respondents are proposing to create place for the purpose of settling of street vendors, the footpath which is meant to be used for pedestrians would then be occupied by the street vendors and/or the vehicles and potential purchasers from the said street vendors affecting the total use of footpath and/or the area surrounding it, which cannot be countenanced.

Learned Standing Counsel prays for time to file counter affidavit to the petition.

Time prayed for is allowed.

Needful may be done before the next date.

The interim order granted on 25.09.2025 shall continue. The respondents are further restrained from continuing with any nature of construction at the site in question.
