This petition, purportedly in public interest, has been filed by the petitioner alleging that respondent nos. 7 to 19 are indulging in selling more land than what is owned by them and therefore, action be initiated against them.

A perusal of the entire petition indicates that petitioner has failed to project any public interest worth the name in filing the present petition. A meaningful reading of the petition clearly indicates that the petition has been prepared after collecting certain documents. No cause has been indicated as to from where the petitioner, which is claimed to be a Foundation, got the information so as to investigate the issue. The only indication made is that through the Foundation, the petitioner who claims himself to be its President, came to know that the said illegal activity is being undertaken and he has collected the information through his Advocate and the Foundation for filing the petition.

Creating a cause and filing a petition, without there being a real public interest trigger, cannot be countenanced. The petition has no substance, the same is therefore, dismissed .
