This petition, purportedly in public interest, has been filed by the petitioner seeking direction to respondent nos. 3 and 4 to conduct proper inquiry with regard to the irregularities committed in the development work of Gram Panchayat Rampur, Block Khatauli, P.O. Dayalpuri, Tehsil Khatauli, District Muzaffarnagar.

Submissions have been made that despite the fact that the inquiry was instituted on 30.12.2024 against the Gram Pradhan, on account of noncooperation by the Secretary of Gram Panchayat Rampur, the record was not being made available to the Inquiry Committee and, therefore, the respondents be directed to conclude the inquiry.

By order dated 01.09.2025, learned Standing Counsel was directed to obtain instructions with regard to the conduct of the Secretary of the Gram Panchayat and action taken against him in this regard.

Instructions have been produced, inter alia , indicating that by order dated 10.09.2025, an adverse entry has been communicated to the said Secretary. Further submissions have been made that the Inquiry Committee has concluded its inquiry and has submitted a report dated 18.09.2025 wherein, the allegations made against Gram Pradhan have been found to be without any basis and the report has been forwarded to the competent authority.

In view of the above fact situation, wherein the requisite inquiry has already been concluded and apparently nothing has been found against the Gram Pradhan, we do not find any reason to continue with the present Public Interest Litigation. The same stands disposed of .
