Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned A.G.A. for State.

This Writ Petition has been filed with the following relief(s):

"i. Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the Opposite Parties to take appropriate legal remedy and register a report regarding the disappearance of the son of the petitioner in accordance with law and make efforts to trace him.

ii. Issue a writ, order or direction setting aside the orders dated 23.08.2023 (Annexure No. 1) passed by the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Lucknow in Criminal Miscellaneous Case No. 2459/2023 rejecting the application under Section 156(3) Cr.P.C. moved by the petitioner praying for directions to the Opposite Party Nos. 2, 3 and 4 to act in accordance with law and register a report in relation to the missing son of the petitioner, and also set aside the impugned order dated 29.06.2024 (Annexure. No. 2) passed by the learned Additional Sessions Judge, Court No. 12, Lucknow in Criminal Revision No. 354/24, dismissing the criminal revision preferred by the petitioner impugning the order dated 23.08.2023."

After arguing at some length, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that he does not want to press this writ petition and the same may be dismissed as withdrawn with liberty to avail alternative remedy, whichever is available.

Learned A.G.A. has no objection to the prayer made by the learned counsel for the petitioner.

Accordingly, the writ petition is dismissed as withdrawn with liberty as prayer for.
