Instant Contempt Application has been filed alleging willful disobedience of the order dated 23.01.1998 passed by this Court in Civil Misc. Writ Petition No. 1253 of 1998 and order dated 18.07.2025 in Writ-A No.21631 of 2004 (Shiv Kumar Sharma Vs. State of U.P. and Others).

Learned counsel for the applicant submits that the order passed by this Court has been served upon the opposite party, and despite having knowledge of the same, compliance has not been made.

Prima facie, matter requires consideration for contempt under the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971.

Let notice(s) be issued to the opposite party requiring him, either to comply with the order passed by this Court within a month from the date of receiving the notice(s) and file a compliance affidavit on or before the next date fixed, or to show cause as to why contempt proceedings should not be drawn against him.
