Heard Ms. Manju Pandey, learned counsel for the applicant and Sri Ajay Singh, learned counsel for the State who submits that he has received instructions for which time was prayed which was allowed on 07.10.2025 and perused the material on record.

This bail application under Section 483 of B.N.S.S., 2023 has been filed by the applicant- Ravi seeking enlargement on bail during trial in connection with Case Crime No. 134 of 2025, under Sections 80(2), 85 B.N.S. and 3/4 D.P. Act, Police Station- Kankarkheda, District Meerut.

The first information report of the present matter was lodged on 25.2.2025 by Balindar against the applicant and 4 other persons alleging therein that the marriage of his sister Smt. Rupa was solemnized with Ravi (the applicant) on 03.3.2022. After marriage the accused persons used to torture & trouble her for dowry. There was demand of dowry by the accused persons and due to non-fulfillment of the same, the accused persons on 24.2.2025 have murdered her. He was given an information on 25.2.2025 at about 09:30 a.m. after which he along with his family members went there and found his sister to be in dead condition.

Learned counsel for the applicant argued that the applicant has been falsely implicated in the present case. It is submitted that although the applicant is the husband of the deceased but he is not involved in the matter. It is submitted that the allegations as levelled against the applicant and other co-accused persons are general and omnibus in nature. While placing paragraph 20 of the affidavit it is submitted that the deceased had gone at her parental home on 21.2.2025 to attend marriage ceremony of her brother and the applicant also arrived there and in the marriage the informant's family misbehaved with the deceased due to which she got annoyed and returned back to her matrimonial house on 24.2.2025 and in

the night of 24.2.2025 she committed suicide. While placing para-21 of the affidavit it is submitted that co-accused Smt. Balesh the mother--inlaw of the deceased has been granted bail by this Court vide order dated 23.7.2025 passed in Criminal Misc. Bail Application No. 19295 of 2025. It is submitted that the applicant has no criminal history as stated in para 27 and is in jail since 26.2.2025.

Per contra, learned counsel for the State vehemently opposed the prayer for bail and submitted that the applicant is the husband of the deceased. It is submitted that the deceased died an unnatural death within seven years of marriage in her matrimonial house and there is an allegation of demand of dowry against the applicant and other co-accused persons.

After having heard learned counsel for the parties and perusing the record, it is evident that the applicant is the husband of the deceased. There is an allegation of demand of dowry, torture and harassment by the applicant and other co-accused persons. The deceased died unnaturally within seven years of marriage in her matrimonial house . The reason as is being disclosed in paragraph 20 of the affidavit due to which the deceased committed suicide does not transpire confidence.

Looking to the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court does not find it a fit case for bail, hence, the bail application is rejected .
