Applicant Sunil Kumar, facing Case Crime No. 687 of 2024 of P.S. रप्रानप्रा-रप्राम नगर (as printed), District Barabanki, under Sections 85, 115(2) and 80(2) BNS and Sections 3/4 Dowry Prohibition Act, sought bail under Section 483 BNSS. Per the complainant's report dated 17.11.2024, her daughter had been married to the applicant about six years earlier and was pressed for dowry; on 15.11.2024 at about 7:30 p.m. the applicant telephoned the complainant stating that the daughter had been hanged.
