Heard learned counsel for the applicant, Sri Badrish Kumar Tripathi, learned Additional Chief Standing Counsel and perused the record.

In view of order proposed to be passed, issuance of notice to the private-respondent(s) is hereby dispensed with.

The present petition has been filed for the following main relief:-

"i) To direct the learned Consolidation Officer, Sadar, District-Ayodhya to decide the Case No. 527/565, 149/158, 136/2024 (Computerized Case No.2000 55042301000, U/s 12 U.P. CH. Act within stipulated period as it may be directed by this Hon'ble Court in the interest of justice."

On being asked, after taking note of the period of pendency of the case in issue, detailed in the prayer clause, learned Additional Chief Standing Counsel Sri Badrish Kumar Tripathi, based upon the oral instructions says that the case in issue, would be decided expeditiously say within a period of five months.

In view of the statement of learned State Counsel, the present petition is disposed of with direction to authority concerned, to consider and decide the pending case in issue, quoted in the prayer clause, most expeditiously, after affording full opportunity of hearing to the parties, but without granting any unnecessary adjournment, preferably within a period of five months from the next date fixed before it.

It is made clear that the Court has not examined the case of either party on merits and the Authority concerned shall be free to decide the matter strictly in accordance with law.
