no.2 approached the Commission by filing a Complaint No.S-3/260/C/2021 and alleged that he was not providing information sought by him within time under the Right to Information Act. The Commission issued notice and during hearing on 08.09.2021 under a bonafide mistake it was mentioned that the information that was required to be given to the Respondent no.2 by way of his application dated 18.01.2021 was given to him on 24.12.2020. The Commission expressed its surprise that even before the information was asked for an application filed in January, 2021 the information was given in December, 2021. For the said reason, the Commission has punished the petitioner with a fine of Rs.25,000/- by passing an order on 18.10.2022. The Commission did not look into the statement filed by the petitioner wherein a mention was made of information to be given by the Regional Marketing Officer, Sitapur, and the office of the Regional Marketing Officer, Sitapur, was trying to contact the Respondent no.2 on several occasions but the Respondent no.2 is not responding to such telephonic intimation to him.
