Heard learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned Standing Counsel.
Petitioners have approached this Court claiming enhancement of compensation as well as considering their claim for providing land for rehabilitation under the provisions of The Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013.
Learned Additional Chief Standing Counsel has raised a preliminary objection that the petitioners can make a reference under Section 64 of the aforesaid Act.
In view thereof, the writ petition is consigned to record with liberty to the petitioners to make a reference under Section 64 of the Act, 2013.
In case such a reference is made, the same shall be decided by the authority concerned in accordance with law expeditiously.
