The present writ petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking the following relief:
"I. Issue writ order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the respondent no. 2-District Magistrate/First Appellate Authority, Public Information Officer, Mainpuri to decide the appeal of the petitioner dated 20.12.2023 (Annexure No. 1 to the writ petition) within stipulated period as may be fixed by this Hon'ble Court."
It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that the appeal of the petitioner is pending before the respondent no. 2, since 2023, however, till date no order has been passed.
Learned Standing Counsel submits that the appeal of the petitioner would be decided in a time bound manner.
In view of the above, the writ petition is disposed of directing the respondent no. 2-District Magistrate/First Appellate Authority, Public Information Officer, Mainpuri, to consider and decide the appeal of the petitioner, expeditiously preferably, within a period of two months from the date of production of certified copy of this order.
