Heard learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner and the learned Standing Counsel appearing on behalf of the State.

This is a writ petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India wherein the petitioner is aggrieved by the inaction on the part of the respondents in deciding the representation dated 02.03.2024 filed by her.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits that raising her grievances the petitioner has filed the representation dated 02.03.2024 before Respondent No.2/District Magistrate, Deoria, however the same has not yet been decided by the said authority.

Upon due consideration, we are of the view that Respondent No.2/District Magistrate, Deoria should be directed to pass a reasoned order upon the representation of the petitioner dated 02.03.2024.

Accordingly, Respondent No.2/District Magistrate, Deoria, is directed to pass a reasoned order upon the representation of the petitioner dated 02.03.2024 within a period of eight weeks from date after granting an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner.

In light of the above, the writ petition is disposed of.
