Heard learned counsel for the petitioner as well as learned Additional Chief Standing counsel appearing for the opposite parties.

The petitioner has prayed for a direction to the respondents to consider his promotion to the post of Assistant Development Officer from the date on which the other similarly situated and junior persons have been promoted.

After arguing at some length learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the grievances of the petitioner shall be substantially redress in case opposite party No.3 is directed to consider and decide the representation of the petitioner, expeditiously, to which learned Standing counsel has no objection.

In view of above, without entering into merits of the case, opposite party No.3- Director, Social Welfare, U.P., Lucknow is directed to consider and decide the representation dated 18.3.2024, as contained in Annexure No.7 to the writ petition, expeditiously, say within a period of four weeks from the date of production of a certified copy of this order, in accordance with law by passing a reasoned and speaking order and communicate the decision to the petitioner.

With aforesaid observation and direction the petition stands disposed of.
